OUR MISSION

In the peaceful times, we promote Ukraine in our state through culture and education

The Ukrainian Association of Washington State (UAWS) is driven by a steadfast commitment to preserve, promote, and celebrate Ukrainian culture and heritage while supporting Ukraine.

For decades through hosting cultural events, supporting educational programs, and engaging in community initiatives, we foster a profound connection to Ukrainian heritage. We take pride in our role as pillars of the Ukrainian-American community, uniting individuals and empowering them to embrace their cultural roots.

Since 2014, in response to the war and ongoing Russian aggression in Ukraine, UAWS remains dedicated to supporting Ukraine through cultural and educational initiatives. We actively organize charity events to raise funds for humanitarian aid, focusing on several key objectives:

• Deliver medical supplies to hospitals in Ukraine (in partnership with Medical Teams Worldwide)
• Provide civilian territorial defense units defending their neighborhoods with body armor
• Support civilians in life-saving tactical medicine
• Help internally displaced families and orphans
