Before the war\, there were more than 5\,000 museums\, 65 historical-cultural reserves and about 170\,000 monuments\, including seven UNESCO World Heritage sites in Ukraine. DESCRIPTION:This exhibition celebrates the enduring legacy of Ukrainian icon painting dating back to the 10th century. \nThe radiant colors and other-worldly compositions of the icons provided the faithful with a compelling theological narrative and a contemplative space in which to encounter the divine. \nIn spite of generations of religious and cultural repression\, this sacred imagery maintained a powerful presence in Ukraine’s collective memory. \nThis exhibition displays the work of artists who embrace the prescribed methods and motifs of this ancient art form\, as well as those who push its boundaries. Using innovative techniques and non-traditional media\, they explore the relevance of sacred art in today’s world. \nA portion of the proceeds from this exhibition will be donated to the Lviv National Academy of Arts and its students who have been displaced by Russia’s war on Ukraine\, as well as the amputee support program of the Ukrainian Association of Washington State. \nThis exhibition is made possible through the generous support of Charity Foundation “Friends of the Lviv National Gallery”\, Radruzh school of iconography\, A/NT Gallery\, and Ukrainian Association of Washington State

Ритм «Сію тобі в очі» подібний до стародавніх заклинань і намовлянь\, який відгукнувся у серці кожного українця під час найтемнішого періоду. На сьогодні вірш перекладений німецькою\, білоруською\, італійською\, чеською\, іспанською\, арабською\, грузинською\, польською мовами і відомий далеко за межами України. \nПані Горова друкувалася в дитячому журналі «Пізнайко»\, перекладала та адаптувала українською пісні для дитячого ютюб-каналу «Першосвіт». Пише поезію для дорослих та дітей. Навіршувала дитячих книжок «Віршенята-кошенята»\, «Віршинки»\, «Конотопська абетка»\, «Ми вареники ліпили». Любить котиків\, танцювати танго\, смакувати «Київський» торт і не любить раненько прокидатися.\nЗапрошуємо всіх охочих прийти\, щоб послухати проникливу лірику\, сповнену болю і\, водночас\, сильну та мотивуючу з вуст авторки у затишній атмосфері.
