On November 15, as the G20 summit started in Indonesia, Russia targeted critical infrastructure and civilian residential buildings in 18 Ukrainian regions, launching more than 100 missiles. Russians have already damaged crucial infrastructure in Kharkiv, Vinnytsia, Zhytomyr, and Khmelnytskyi. Various civilians have been injured all over the country. More disturbing news followed the attack on Ukraine, with two Russian missiles hitting civilian objects in Poland, killing two people. We can’t ignore these terrorist acts; we also can’t ignore the terror spreading over our good neighbor and country that offered us a great, helpful hand and opened its heart to us in the moment of despair. So we are mobilizing the Ukrainian community, Polish community, Baltics community, and everyone in support of freedom and democracy in the state of WA to protest against Russia and demand:
- to provide Ukraine with air-defense systems and modern fighter jets to protect the sky;
- to recognize Russia as a terrorist state;
- to exclude Russia from G20.
Ukrainian Association of Washington State is organizing a peaceful protest on November 16th at 7 PM at the Space Needle.
Our main messages are:
- No negotiations with terrorists!
- Russia is a terrorist state!
- Russia out of G20!
Please bring your posters, umbrellas, and flags to show your support and magnify the message!
We invite you to join us and talk about the best ways to support world peace sustainably.
