February is the shortest month of the year, but it has become the longest for every Ukrainian. A month that continues to this day, just as the war that Russia started nine years ago continues.

On February 24, 2022, at 3:59 AM, russia began its unjust and brutal invasion of Ukraine, a full-scale war against humanity, freedom, and democracy. For us, it has been 365 days, and every day is full of struggle, and it keeps counting.

On February 25, 2023, at 12 PM, we will meet at the Mural Amphitheatre at Seattle Center, where we gathered with the Ukrainian-American community of Washington State multiple times last year to stand in solidarity with the brave people of Ukraine to mark 365 Days of Defending Freedom.

We want to remind everyone of the ongoing struggle for human rights, democracy, and dignity in Ukraine, and of the resilience and courage of the Ukrainian people in the face of adversity.

365 Days of Defending Freedom. 365 Days of Resilience. 365 Days of Fight for Democracy. 365 Days of Dignity.

We will show you how the brave people of Ukraine by sacrificing their lives daily have made in defending their country and protecting the world from a russian terrorist state. 

For 365 days, the Ukrainian people have shown incredible resilience and perseverance in the face of the ongoing war, including enduring power outages and attacks on their energy and civilian infrastructure by Russian forces. Despite these challenges, they have continued to live with dignity and self-respect, and have demonstrated remarkable courage in defending their freedom and sovereignty.

For 365 days, the Ukrainian people have demonstrated that they will not be cowed by aggression and violence, but will continue to fight for their rights and dignity and protect not only themselves but also Europe from further russian aggression. 

For 365 days, indifferent people worldwide have rallied to support Ukrainians and call to action to help Ukraine. Many people throughout the world made donations and provided shelter and humanitarian aid to Ukraine. The support of the international community is crucial in helping Ukraine defend its independence and freedom.

With the assistance and comprehensive support of the Consulate General of Ukraine in San Francisco, the Ukrainian Association of Washington State together with The Holy Trinity Parish – UOC of USA, Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church – Our Lady of Zarvanycia, and Klych community call all Ukrainians and friends of Ukraine in the Pacific Northwest, anyone for whom freedom matters, to defend freedom with us #UnitedForFreedom.

Join us to #StandWithUkraine and back to back with those who have been helping and contributing to our victory since the first day. Spread the word about this event, and invite your friends, colleagues, and everyone. You don’t need to be Ukrainian to show your support to Ukraine – all you need to be a human. Together, we can make a difference and help bring victory to Ukraine.

We encourage everyone who is able to attend to do so, and to bring their own posters, banners, Ukrainian flags, and rally gear to show solidarity with the people of Ukraine. Additionally, we will have posters of the series entitled “365 Days of Bravery” available for use as well, but also we encourage everyone to print and bring any of the 365-telling posters with events of each day of the full-scale invasion. You can select a poster that you feel is most memorable or important to you, and use it to share your support for Ukraine’s fight for freedom and dignity. Be a voice of Ukraine! Show Ukraine’s struggle for freedom. Show how Ukrainians defend their independence and freedom for the whole world daily!

Лютий – найкоротший місяць у році, але для кожного українця він став найдовшим. Місяць, який триває досі, як і війна, яку росія розпочала дев’ять років тому.

24 лютого 2022 року о 3:59 ранку росія почала несправедливе та жорстоке вторгнення в Україну, повномасштабну війну проти людства, свободи та демократії. Для нас минуло 365 днів, і кожен день сповнений боротьби. І це триває досі.

25 лютого 2023 року о 12.00 ми зустрічаємося в Mural Amphitheatre, Seattle Center, де ми неодноразово збиралися разом з українсько-американською громадою штату Вашингтон минулого року в знак солідарності з хоробрим народом України, щоб відзначити 365 Днів Захисту Свободи.

Ми хочемо нагадати всім про боротьбу за права людини, демократію та гідність, яка триває в Україні, а також про стійкість і мужність українського народу перед обличчям лиха.

365 днів захисту свободи. 365 днів стійкості. 365 днів боротьби за демократію. 365 днів Гідності.

Ми покажемо вам, як відважний народ України щодня жертвує своїми життями, захищає свою країну, тим самим захищаючи весь світ від російської терористичної держави.

Протягом 365 днів український народ виявляв неймовірну стійкість, навіть попри перебої в електропостачанні та напади на енергетичну та цивільну інфраструктуру з боку російських військ. Українці демонстрували, що не піддаватимуться агресії та насильству, а продовжать боротьбу за свої права та гідність та захищатимуть не лише себе, а й Європу від подальшої російської агресії.

Протягом 365 днів небайдужі люди по всьому світу гуртувалися, щоб підтримати українців і закликати світ до дій. Багато людей робили пожертви, надавали притулок та гуманітарну допомогу українцям. Підтримка міжнародної спільноти має вирішальне значення для того, щоб допомогти Україні захистити свою незалежність і свободу.

За сприяння та всебічної підтримки генерального консульства України в Сан-Франциско, Асоціація Українців штату Вашингтон разом з Парафією Пресвятої Трійці – УПЦ США, Українською Греко-Католицькою Церквою – Зарваницької Богоматері та спільнотою Клича закликаємо всіх українців і друзів України на Pacific Northwest захищати свободу разом з нами #UnitedForFreedom.
