Washington State Sponsorship Hub
The Washington State Sponsorship Hub was a grant program launched by three Ukrainian-American local organizations in collaboration with Welcome.US. This initiative aimed to support sponsors of Ukrainian refugees arriving under the Uniting for Ukraine program (U4U). The program provided essential guidance to individuals and families interested in learning about the sponsorship process and those eager to welcome and assist families seeking refuge from the ongoing war in Ukraine.
The project successfully concluded in October 2023.

About the project
Washington State Sponsorship Hub worked in partnership with Welcome.US to support the sponsors of Ukrainian refugees and those looking to welcome and help families who are seeking refuge. We teamed up for one year with the Ukrainian Community Center of Washington (UCCWA) and Nashi Immigrants Health Board to create and manage the Washington Sponsor Support Hub:
- Helped 135 sponsors to bring 268 refugees to Washington State;
- Organized 6 webinars (videos are available on YouTube);
- Participated in and organized 35 events;
- Collaborated with 15+ local NGOs and government organizations on events.
