Join us for an epic celebration on May 16th, 2024, at 6:30 PM in front of Suzzallo Library at the University of Washington! Let’s paint Seattle and the world with our vibrant spirit 💙💛and celebrate our heritage with our folk music and dance! Wear your best vyshyvanka and wave those Ukrainian flags high! Don’t have one? No problem! Come in Ukrainian gear and bring a flag to be part of the fun! Everyone’s invited! 🎉🇺🇦

Vyshyvanka Day, celebrated annually on the third Thursday of May, is a special occasion where Ukrainians and friends of Ukraine wear traditional embroidered shirts called vyshyvankas to honor Ukrainian culture and heritage. It’s a day of unity, celebrating the rich history and beauty of Ukrainian embroidery while fostering a sense of pride and solidarity among Ukrainians worldwide.

The event is organized by the Ukrainian Association of Washington State and the Ukrainian Students United Club at the University of Washington.
